Day 6 // GA UXDI

this morning we were given the challenge to simply “sort the foam blocks.” as a team we played around with sorting by size, color, shape, and quantity. it was hard to decide what was the optimal sorting solution because ultimately the best kind of sorting comes from understanding who will be looking at the shapes and why–not just by a whim or by what we have in our inventory of foam blocks. information architecture is about “wayfinding.” sort the information in a manner that helps the user find their way–not by what you have.
